When is everything due?
There are three important dates to remember (click the links to add them to your calendar):
August 25: Hotel block expires
September 1: Registration closes
September 18: GLSGN Meeting 2023 begins
What’s the dress code for the conference?
We encourage attendees to adopt business-casual attire during the sessions, which includes nice jeans. More casual wear for field trips is acceptable as appropriate for your field trip. The dress code for the banquet is also business casual, but we request no jeans.
What are the public health and COVID-19 considerations?
We encourage all attendees to wear a mask during the conference to help prevent the spread of the virus. Indicators of various levels of social distancing will be available at registration.
I’m flying in, what’s the closest airport?
There are two Chicago airports:
- O’Hare International Airport is the closest choice—15 miles from Evanston.
- Midway International Airport is another option—25 miles from Evanston.
Where do I park?
If you’re driving to the meeting, parking is available at the hotel for $18/night. Metered public parking is available on the street. Hotel, Venue, and Travel Information
Are there going to be field trips?
This year we will have six different field trip opportunities. From Sustainable Food Systems, to the Shedd Aquarium, to an opportunity to help with Lake Michigan Cleanup via the Adopt-A-Beach program, you’ll be able to find an activity suited to your interests.
